Safiyyah Sheppard, MBA, a Philadelphia native who currently resides in Delaware. She has been employed with Exelon Corporation since 2008, currently working as a Sr. Business Analyst at PHI. Her employment has enabled her to fulfill her career while serving her community.
Safiyyah has been an influencer of diversity, equity, and inclusion through her work with Exelon’s African American Resource Alliance, including founding a chapter at Delmarva Power in 2018 and now leading all the chapters across PHI. Through this work, she creates initiatives for employees to learn about the African American culture, increase engagement with making a social impact all while developing professionally. She’s been an active member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), serves as the chair for Blacks in Energy Awareness Month (BEAM), served as a lead advisor with Peco’s Explorer program, mentoring high school students while also being a board member of Peace and Love Worldwide in Philadelphia, raising awareness on domestic and senseless violence prevention.
Aside from volunteering, Safiyyah takes delight in spending quality time with her children and family. She enjoys practicing her faith as a Muslim, watching movies, dining at restaurants, and traveling.
Safiyyah has also completed both her Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Universal College, Bachelor of Business Administration at Peirce College, and most recently obtained her certifications as a Professional and Master Coach from the Center for Coaching Certifications.
