Ayanna Gellineau is a graduate of the Temple University with a Masters in Adult and Organizational Development. She earned a second master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counselling at Rosemont College. Prior to studying in the United States, Ayanna completed her undergraduate education in psychology at the University of the West Indies. Ayanna has had a long career in higher education teaching at university level both in the United States and in the Caribbean for over a decade. Ayanna is certified Professional coach and works with Statera Coaching and Consultancy as a coach.
At Statera she also develops and facilitates workshops on conflict and its psychological impacts and how they can be mitigated. Ayanna has a strong background in workshop facilitation, specializing in the development of active listening skills and conflict resolution. She is a pre-licenced therapist and currently works both in private practice and in community based mental health. Ayanna has certifications in trauma-informed care and focus her work on persons most affected adversely my developmental and adult trauma. She specialized in the following modalities cognitive behavioural therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, and inner child work. Ayanna sees both clients across the lifespan affected with anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
As an avid Yoga practitioner, Ayanna has a deep appreciation for the power of the body in movement as it relates to promoting physical and psychological well-being. She sees this as important for enabling individuals to be present and self-aware. Ayanna is a certificated Yoga Instructor. She runs a pop-up yoga studio and is working to establish her studio in the Philadelphia area offering classes to Muslim women.
